Our Team

An Independent Family Office, Led by Its Founders

Dunvegan is a Canadian-owned family office founded by siblings Kailey and Konnor McLeod. We bring our experience from inside single-family offices to families who have not built an office of their own, and you work with us directly.

We keep Dunvegan small by design. A small number of families, served exceptionally well, is a more meaningful practice than a large number served adequately. The people you meet are the people who do the work.

Kailey McLeod, CPA, CA

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

At Dunvegan, she leads the tax and accounting practice.

Kailey has spent more than a decade advising families and private businesses, first in public accounting and then as the senior finance executive inside a family office. She began her career in public practice as a tax advisor, working on reorganizations, estate planning and acquisition structuring for private clients.

She then spent five years as CFO of a large single family office, where she ran the finance and operations team and advised the family on portfolio strategy across traditional and alternative assets. She led due diligence on new investments, negotiated and closed real estate transactions, built out the office’s private lending portfolio, and oversaw its venture and private equity holdings.

She has taught in the CPA Professional Education Program.

Konnor McLeod, CFA

Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer

At Dunvegan, he leads investment administration and consolidated reporting.

Konnor built the investment side of a single-family office from the ground up after its principal’s business exit, and oversaw its holdings across public and private markets. With a focus on direct private equity, he helped source, structure and close several acquisitions of established, founder-led industrial businesses.

After each acquisition, he worked on what followed: tightening operations, building custom ERP systems and rebuilding the companies’ finances into audit-ready, board-grade reporting. He also designed and built the office’s reporting platform, which brings its holdings together in one view of performance and cash.

After studying at the University of Toronto, he started in investment management at RBC and then Bellwether Investment Management.
